Note: The following Poem is in memory of Rizwan, a student of National Law Institute University who died in a car accident day before yesterday.
You wake up in the morning,
To hear of someone’s death.
You don’t know him ,
Neither have you heard of him,
But you know he has been around.
He died last night in an accident somehow,
He was not drunk , not high,
And it wasn’t his fault either .
But yes he died somehow.
All around you have people,
But something breaks within you ,
Everyone stands in silence .
But a soul shrieks within you.
There should be some outlet ,
For your sadness , for your tears ,
For your frustration and your pain.
Your misery , your shame ,
Your anger , your disdain ,
Your love , your sympathy,
All look for an avenue ,
But look around who cares ?
After two minutes,
We are a happy lot once again.
It rained for two minutes today ,
I guess even nature had only so much to shed.
The departed soul calls thee,
Whom should you blame ?
He who was driving ?
Or he who did not allow them to enter the premises,
Yes they were late !
So what it’s a part of the college game,
You don’t turn them out , they are young ,
Immature, brash, they often make mistakes.
But the warden ain’t a soothsayer ,
He did not know that was happening tonight ,
They were driving rash and they met their fate,
Science played its part , All laws of physics applied,
They got hurt and before someone got some aid,
The soul left the body for its eternal grave.
Life feels vulnerable , after listening of death,
All we can do is remember him in our prayers ,
Whosoever he was, he should be at peace with himself.
He is gone now ,
Leaving his family , his beloved behind ..
I think , I ponder , I try my hardest to sense,
But still I guess none can feel their pain.
I had never seen him , never heard him ,
But yes he was around,
Last night he died somehow.
